Maybe that busy day is today, maybe not. It’s always a good idea to keep a delicious green smoothie recipe handy just in case you are running late and need a kick for your morning (or you want to impress your lady).
Why do I love green smoothies?

- They allow you to get a great dose of nutrition in no time, with minimum kitchen cleanup
- They help your digestion
- They mentally prepare you for a day of healthy eating and movement
Now, if you are new to the world of green smoothies, maybe you think you need to buy special ingredients or equipment – you don’t. You can use your good ol’blender and make a great tasting smoothie.
Here is what you need to make this awesome tasting banana ginger smoothie:
Serves 1:
1 banana (fresh or frozen)
1 cup spinach leaves- packed
3 thick slices ginger
juice of 1 small orange or lemon
1 tbsp bee pollen
To make: in a blender, combine all the ingredients with 1/2 -1 cup of water and a few ice cubes. Blend thoroughly and enjoy right away. Bee pollen is an excellent immune system booster and allows you to transition from summer to fall in great health and spirits.
Don’t care for green? Make it your own by replacing spinach with blueberries or other favorite berries.
