Evidence Magazine Podcast, 5 Effective Ways to Eat Less w/ Stephan Guyenet

By now, you know I like walking to make up for all of my sitting time; the computer, driving, seeing Divergent with my daughter, and even reading typically involves long periods in the ass-in-chair position. For my own health I have to walk, and to walk I need a way to make walking fun. …or at least educational.

I read a lot for work, whether it’s books, blog posts, or health news, but podcasts, audiobooks, and other recordings are also a great way to keep myself educated and keep me entertained while walking.

With this in mind, I’m going to start sharing more of these resources with you. I’ll try to keep it to things that you health and fitness enthusiasts will find valuable, and give you the gist of why you should listen, what it’s going to cover, etc.

I’m a huge fan of Dr. Stephan Guyenet, and have been for years. He’s got a great website called wholehealthsource.org, where he tackles the great health and nutrition topics of today with science, logic, and common sense; three traits that are sadly not always found together when it comes to nutrition research.

In this podcast, Dr. Guyenet covers a lot of things, but in the end, he’s sharing a food philosophy that can help you naturally, easily, and effectively eat less to lose weight. No one really wants to count calories or shun their favorite foods forever, and if you know a little more about the foods you eat and crave…

…and why you eat and crave them, you can make some pretty good decisions that will make your weight loss journey easier than ever, no matter what dieting style you choose!
