One of the biggest challenges with our clients and readers is the amount of sitting that happens at work, home, school, and even commuting.
We sit everywhere, and there’s really no way to avoid it.
By now, you’ve heard the saying that “sitting is the new smoking,” and you know that something has to be done, right?
The good news is that our good friend Katy Bowman recently teamed up with Mark Sisson to produce a comprehensive program that helps you get out of the chair, standing aligned, and sitting right (because we still have to sit sometimes!).
Even cooler news (for me, at least) is that I, Roland, am IN the book! Yep, pictures of me in my business casual ‘office uniform’ are throughout Katy’s book. I’m performing the exercises and movements that you’ll soon be doing to get healthy.
Enough about me… I just sent out a newsletter about the program, but wanted to be sure you saw this, too!
PS. Here’s the letter I sent out in the newsletter. All the details are below!
Don’t Just Sit There!
Answer YES or NO to the following questions:

• heart disease
• even diabetes!
…not to mention bone loss, and damage to your musculoskeletal alignment, joints and tendons caused by prolonged sitting and lack of movement.
If only it was as simple as getting out of your chair and standing all day, but you’d be no better off and A LOT more tired, stiff and sore!
The solution is not more gym time, more miles on the treadmill, or even switching to a stand-up desk. The trick is to fill your days with varied movements and body positions.
The good news is that, because we’ve all been sitting static the same way for decades, changing our static positioning can readily improve our health. Still, there’s a right way and a wrong way to go about transitioning from ‘active couch potato’ to an active, properly aligned, moving and grooving health star.
Our good friend, and world-renowned author and biomechanist Katy Bowman, creator and director of The Restorative Exercise Institute, will show you how to sit and stand correctly, shake up your body positioning, and stretch and ‘exercise’ your joints and ligaments for superior body alignment with the…
